Thirty years after Neal Stephenson originally coined the term "metaverse" LAMINA1 was born. Co-founded by Stephenson and crypto pioneer Peter Vessenes, its mission is to build the infrastructure of an open and decentralized metaverse that puts technology in the service of humans, not the other way around.
At LAMINA1, we are building a batteries-included blockchain, API, and creator tooling optimized for ease of use, performance, and interoperability in the next online era. Together, we'll use it to empower a new generation of interconnected, immersive experiences across gaming, entertainment, fashion, music, and beyond.
Because the metaverse must not be controlled by mega-platforms or corporations — it will be owned by its citizens — builders, creators, and consumers who deserve ownership, autonomy, and privacy online.
For developers who want to build on LAMINA1, an open repository of information, code, and parameters for L1 APIs, tools, and software.
